The Stonecrest Citizens Coalition (SCC) cordially invites you to our Quarterly Community Engagement Meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:30 PM. We are inviting all of the candidates on the ballot for the following offices in Stonecrest, GA's general election: Mayor, District 2, & District 4.
The event will be held at Rockland UMC, and will be open to all members of the public and the media. We will start the evening with opening remarks from SCC. The event will be divided into three segments - 1) SCC welcome, 2) introduction of and presentation from guest speaker, and 3) introduction of candidates for office and beginning of informal reception with opportunities for candidates to interact with constituents.
This event is scheduled to end at approximately 9 p.m. Please note: ● Some portions of this event will be taped and the video will be made available on the SCC website and/or social media pages. ● Candidates’ introduction to include name, district of residence, and office you are running for (no more than 30 seconds).
Candidates will be given the opportunity to freely interact with attendees during the third segment of the event. This is not a debate or a panel discussion. Candidates are strongly encouraged to focus on the issues, not personalities. No personal attacks will be allowed. Candidates are asked not to distribute campaign literature inside the event venue, other than business cards. Campaign signs, hats, pins, banners, fliers, etc. are also not allowed. We request that candidates arrive no later than 7:30 p.m.
Thank you to those who have already agreed to attend. Please confirm your attendance and acceptance of the above by email or phone call to Mrs. Dana Holmes, danaholmesforscc@gmail.com or 404-667-9791, by September 5, 2023. Confirmed attendees will be shared on our social media pages and website after that date. We look forward to your agreement to participate so that Stonecrest voters can make an informed decision on November 7th.
Sincerely yours,
